In the latest Ask the admin (05/12/08) I asked Lanzer the following question:

Hi Lanzer! Glad to see you here today.

The Cash Shop has been seeing a lot of new items recently, keep up the great work! However, as an avid buyer I am concerned, the prices seem rather off. Help me and users understand why a dress is assigned the amount of $4 versus a Sealed Letter which contains a monthly collectible cost $2.50.

Based on the following purchasing a Sealed Letter has more value. The dress offers only one pose, whereas the amount of poses for an MC can vary but is definately more than 1, and if you buy an Sealed Letter ads on the site get taken away for a month.

My question for you Lanzer is how are prices in the Cash Shop determined?

Hello Legend,

Like real fashion, depending on the design or demand, prices might be different. MC came from users donating to Gaia to support the site, so the price is always $2.5 and we continue to make a great value for users who choose to support us. The dress was made strictly as a fashionable item that carries a different branding and feel. Kind of like comparing the price of an expensive handbag and the price of a backpack, the functionality of the backpack holds much more value, but people who like the handbag like the handbag for reasons outside of looks or functionality in many cases. I believe this is the thinking behind the item.

What do you all think of Lanzer's explanation of how Cash Shop items are priced?

Hey guys. It seems like there's a lot of new members to the community so I just wanted to help clarify something that was mentioned a looong time ago; and therefore it is understandable that you may not have known. Things like Name: Age: Gender: Date Joined: stuff, basically any kind of profile or questionarre posts like that, aren't really the thing to do here. This community is for discussing aspects of Gaia, not necessary for finding friends to chat on Gaia with. Not that finding friends is a bad thing, it's just not what this community was made for.

With regards to that, other information such as promoting a shop, asking for gaia-related advice, or 'what do you think about this new feature', are all cool. But 'Hi my name is Candy and I'm 14, find me on Gaia!' should probably be left out of your posts here. Hope that clears things up!

With that in mind, to all older members who may have been discouraged seeing those profile questionarres cropping up again, don't despair. Try to remember that respect is important, and no one is perfect.

In hopes of lightening things up here I've got a legitimate question. Any of you guys going to the movie screening tomorrow? Or the CBS thing? I'm going to both.

Or any of you going to the other movie screenings? I'd be particularly interested if anyone's going to the NYC one obviously, but it'd be nice to know what the community's thoughts are in general.

Additionally: Did anyone lolhard when the poll was made with the choice of 'other' and fifty-five million people chose that one in order to post all their hometowns? I think maybe other was a bad idea thar.

Name me ONE good guild that is a great place for RPing. I haven't really decided on which guild to join, but I want to join one that's active all the time so that I could be more active on Gaia

Should I create a shop? I'm not so sure on how digital art makes the gaians happy, but if you want to know on how skillfull I am, you try and visit my graphics journal iknight  (in fact, I'm pretty much nooby when creating shops and I need a better way of earning gaia gold *lol* )

And last question, I wanted to Cosplay anime characters. Suggest me a good one while I wait for Cornelia to appear again in Code Geass so I can make another cosplay for her. Is anyone of you playing football in a team?
I attended a training-session of our local women's team (Düsseldorf Pantherladies) last Wednesday and it was really, really fun. Although I had sore muscles until Sunday. (Who would've thought that being a CB is THAT exhausting and THAT much work?)

I have a strange question: I saved this icon (*points to the icon in my post*) 'cos I loved it a while ago but didn't get around to using it. Now I want to but don't remember who made it!
